Hannah V. Carroll - Photographer & Visual Artist
Hannah Carroll is a visual artist and photographer based in Victoria, British Columbia.

Born in the UK, Hannah spent a lot of her early childhood living in the middle east, travelling far and wide with her family before returning to the UK.
Any opportunity to travel was taken up & throughout university summers were spent travelling across Europe & Africa with her now husband, always with a camera in one hand and a sketchbook in the other. The desire and willingness to take up new and exciting opportunities when they are offered to her is the foundation of Hannah’s creative practice.
Hannah is inspired by her natural surroundings & environment. She works by pairing back a scene, extracting the busyness around her and focusing on the minimal, often un-missed features of a location. Forms, shapes and lines are extracted to form both Hannah's visual practice and photographic body of work.
Nothing compares to working with black and white film. Hannah's monochrome photography compliments her minimal, playful & structured body of visual work.
